Two men have been arrested after more than 120 cannabis plants were uncovered during a raid in Over Hulton.
Yesterday morning officers from Bolton’s Programme Challenger executed a warrant at a property on Manchester Road.
Two men, aged 60 and 21-years-old have been arrested on suspicion of production of a controlled drug.
They remain in custody for questioning.
The warrant was executed as part of a pre-planned operation targeting organised crime in Bolton.
Officers seized around 120 cannabis plants and an amount of cash.
There was a scene in place but this has now been lifted and enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Inspector Tanya Kitchen of GMP’s Bolton District said: “The supply and use of drugs on our street will not be tolerated, and we will continue to take action like today until this is recognised.
“We have two men in custody but this investigation is in its early stages, and officers will be in the area continuing with their enquiries over the next few days.
“If you have any information, or if you have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area recently then please get in touch with police as soon as you can.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 5625 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
