Two Brothers Attacked In Bolton

Police are appealing for witnesses after two brothers were assaulted in Bolton town centre.

At around 4am on Saturday 9 February the men, aged 31 and 26, were stood outside Roc Bar on Bradshawgate when they were approached by two men.

The men started assaulting the brothers, punching and kicking them repeatedly, before leaving the scene.

The brothers were taken to a nearby takeaway for refuge by a member of the public before they attended hospital some time later to be treated for their injuries.

Both have since been discharged, however one of the men – the 26-year-old – required surgery on his face prior to being released.

Detectives investigating the incident have now released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to.

Detective Constable Paula Mannion, of GMP’s Bolton District, said: “This attack left two men requiring hospital treatment and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have information that can help us find the people responsible.

“We have released images of two men that we wish to speak to in connection with our investigation and I would ask that anybody who recognises them, please contact police.

“If you think that you can help, then I would urge you to please come forward.”
