Police Release Photo Of A Man Following Robbery in Whitefield

Officers are appealing for information following a robbery on Higher Lane on Monday 4 March 2019. 

At around 11am the victim, a man in his 70s, was approached by a man who said he was working next door. He claimed he had hit a water main and asked him to switch off his electricity. As the victim went inside his house the offender stole his black Audi S8 and fled the scene. 

The vehicle was later found abandoned on Uplands Avenue in Radcliffe.   

The victim wasn’t injured, but was left understandably shaken. 

The offender is described as white, around 30-years-old and of a slim build. He was wearing a grey padded jacket, jeans and a white hard hat.
