Mike Jackson from Bromley Cross was attacked after watching his team play PSG last week.
The 44 year old was stabbed in the chest and a Paris taxi driver has been arrested.
Manchester United have been supporting Mike and helped to get him home following emergency surgery.
But not only that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also sent a personal video message to Mike wishing him well.
In the clip Solskjaer says "Hi Michael. It was a fantastic night of football against PSG but we're sorry to hear what happened with you after the game.
""I hear the operation's gone well so hopefully you get a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing you at Old Trafford again. All the best"
Posting the video on Facebook Mike said "Manchester United is much more than a football club. We’re a family, possibly the biggest family in the world. One Love, One UNITED. Thank you so much Ole and everybody for your beautiful messages"
