Police have reported that Paul Dickson who was attacked at the end of last year has now passed away.
Shortly after 12.50am on Sunday 30 December 2018, officers were called to reports that a man had been stabbed at a house on Montserrat Road in Bolton.
49-year-old Paul Dickson was taken to hospital in a critical condition. He sadly died earlier today (Friday 11 January 2019).
A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and are appealing to anyone with information to contact police.
Detective Inspector Damian Threader, of GMP’s Bolton borough, said: “We are continuing our enquiries to establish exactly what happened that led to Paul losing his life and we have specially trained officers supporting his family at this heart-breaking time.
“Whilst we arrested a woman as part of our enquiries, our investigation is very much ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information that could help us piece together the circumstances of this incident to please get in touch.”
