Man Charged With The Murder Of Woman From Bolton

Margaret Jean Smythe was last seen at her home a week ago and her body was discovered by police on Friday.

Police investigating the disappearance of Maggie Smythe from Bolton have charged a man with her murder.

 Christopher Taylor (10/07/1979) of Greenroyd Avenue in Bolton has been charged with the murder of Margaret Jean Smythe (Maggie) after a body was found near Red Lane in Breightmet.

 Taylor will appear at Bolton Magistrates Court on Monday 4 February 2019.

 A 29-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of murder has been released under investigation.

 Maggie, 29, was last seen on Saturday 26 January at her home on Swinside Road in Breightmet.

 Detectives discovered a body on Friday 1 February 2019, and believe it to be the body of Maggie however formal identification has yet to take place.
