Local Band Release Single To Help Unpaid Staff At Bury FC

Suave Martyrs have written and released a new single from which all proceeds will go to help the unpaid staff at Bury FC.

The band with members from Bury and Manchester will be selling the single for £1 on Bandcamp, though supporters can donate more if they wish to do so.

Despite their promotion to League 1, Bury are under deep financial pressure and it is hoped that this single will allow them to continue to be a part of Bury for years to come.

"The football club is a vital part of the community knitting together families across the town. It is an epicentre that rides the highs and lows with their supporters. Bury cannot lose the historic centre of the community and go the way of so many other small clubs."

Suave Martyrs hope that the single will not only raise vital funds for the club but will raise awareness. They hope to encourage others to create grassroots movements to build a groundswell of movement for the club.

Suave Martyrs formed in late 2018 quickly building a buzz up to their support slot for Alan McGee’s Alias Kid at Manchester’s Deaf Institute. Their first headline slot at Jimmy’s sold out in less than 24 hours. They are now setting their sights higher for their gig at Night People on the 14th September, from which they also hope to generate funds for Bury FC.
