Former Tower FM presenter Made MBE in New Year's Honours

Young people's champion Saeed Atcha is to receive an MBE in the Queen's New Year Honours.

The 22 year old, who went to Ladybridge High School, was recently appointed as the social mobility commissioner and has spent the majority of his adult life trying to give younger generations a voice.

The ex-Tower FM presenter founded Xplode Magazine at 15 to help young people in Greater Manchester through vlounteering, jobs and skills training.

The charity works to promote a positive image of young people.

Saeed told Tower FM the honour will serve as a reminder of what young people can achieve.
