Due to the high number of responses to the plans for a Golf Course at Hulton Park a planned meeting to decide on the future of the development has been put back.
The controversial proposals would see 1000 homes built and along with a Championship sized Golf Course.
The decision meeting was due to take place next week.
In a statement the council said
“The planning committee scheduled to consider the Hulton Park application on March 1 has been postponed.
“Due to the large number of responses that have been received since the announcement of the meeting date, it has been agreed that the committee meeting should be re-arranged to enable full consideration of these to take place.
“The site visit tomorrow will go ahead as planned.”
A demonstration planned tomorrow by residents against the plans will still go ahead.
