14 Year-Old Girl Charged After Knifepoint Robbery At Whitefield Tram Stop

A 14 year-year old girl has been charged by police after an armed robbery at Whitefield tram stop on Friday evening.

Police were called just after 7.30pm on Friday an upon arrival found that a a teenager has been robbed at knifepoint by a gang of youths.

The group had fled the scene but a short time later a 14 year old girl and two boys aged 15 and 17 were arrested.

They have since been charged by officers.

The young girl has been with charged with robbery, possession of a blade and assault on an emergency service worker.

The 17 year old boy has been charged with robbery, possession of a blade and criminal damage to his police cell. 

The second boy aged 15 has been charged with robbery.

It's understood a police officer was bitten and spat at during the incident.
