UPDATE: Players And Coaching Staff At Bolton Wanderers Finally Paid Wages

After being promised they would be paid on Monday no matter what, the money went into accounts on Tuesday.

All other staff at the club have been paid their February wages but Phil Parkinson along with his staff and squad will have to wait a little longer.

Chairman Ken Anderson has said if a takeover of the club is not finalised over the weekend he would pay the outstanding wages himself but there was some delay.

In a statement the club said

"Bolton Wanderers Football Club can  confirm that all outstanding salaries for players and coaching staff have now been paid in full."

In a post online chairman Ken Anderson hinted that the completion of a takeover was imminent saying

"Hopefully, the takeover will be completed later this week and the new owners will be in place and will be given the time and opportunity to take the club forward"

Mr Anderson, who has come been heavily criticised throughout the wages row also said

"Paying the staff salaries late once and the players twice in the three years of my ownership certainly did not sit comfortably with me and is not something I would have chosen to do in other circumstances and I apologise unreservedly to all concerned."
