Phil Parkinson says Bolton are down to the bear bones as he considers Championship debuts for Luca Connell and Joe Pritchard tonight against Reading.
Ben Alnwick, Mark Beevers, David Wheater and Marc Wilson are all serious doubts for the match.
Luca Connell and Joe Pritchard are both in the squad to play against Reading after impressing in their debuts against Bristol City in the FA Cup on Friday.
"You know with Pritch we signed him in the summer and he deserved his chance with the way he has trained" Phil Parkinson told us.
"We would have played him earlier but we had a problem with the embargo and he had a chance to go on loan to a Dutch club but we blocked that because we felt he could make a contribution.
"Young Luca is a bit of a different one really. He's been here since he was 8 so it's great for everyone at the club.
There has also been some speculation that Luca has already been the subject of interest from the Premier League, something Parkinson has made light of.
"When any youngster makes his debut an alert goes around all the analysts, their laptops flash up that's inevitable but he's a player we want to keep"
