Ed Sheeran has had some making up to do after boasting about driving at ninety in the lyrics to his new single 'Castle On The Hill'!

It's safe to say that the police were NOT happy with Ed, although it looks like he will be back in their good books after using an advert for his new album to promote road safety.

However, Ed recently defended the lyrics in an interview with the BBC by saying "I don't think it specifically says miles per hour," he added "It could be kilometres per hour."

Fair enough!

Ed's third studio album 'Divide' is released on Friday and we will be playing album tracks on Total Access THAT NIGHT!

Check out the road safety advert below.... it's not the KFC one!
