TONY HORNE has been rocking the airwaves for years now with his no-nonsense style of broadcasting.
Born in Chessington, Surrey, he started on air in Devon whilst at Exeter University, moved to Wiltshire and really made his name with Tony Horne in the Morning radio show in the North East between 1996-2000 and 2004-2011. In all, he fronted eighteen years of breakfast shows, was rarely touched in the ratings, walking off with a Sony Radio Award in 2011 for hid Great North Run coverage.
He also raised tons for charity on an Inca Trek and supports Special Care Baby Units after his little one was born two months premature. Poppy, and Sam and Molly regularly appear on the show!
Now as well as radio, he is a best-selling author and ghost-writer too, and if there's a half-marathon in your patch, you'll probably see him on the start line - if not the finish.
