
Michael Emmerson applied for job as a mixer, and got a recording contract instead!
A young musician from Warrington,who applied for a job as a mixer at a record label in London's set for the big time, after being turned down for THAT job, but being offered a recording contract instead..
Michael Emmerson, who's 23 and from Great Sankey's previously attracted the attention of Coldplay's Chris Martin.
In 2008, he won a songwriting competition, judged by Chris, when he was in a band.
That band fell apart, so Michael's gone solo now.
As part of his job application, he submitted some of his music - and was snapped up by Discipline Music.
Michael's now recorded his debut single 'Back to You' which is released in June, and is doing a number of gigs in Liverpool over the next couple of weeks
On Friday 4th May,he's playing Parr Street Studios, then will play Hannah's Bar next week.
