23 year old killed in ice climbing accident in the States
Tributes are being paid to a student from Bury, killed in an ice climbing accident in America.
Michael Machell was just 23
He was spending a year studying at university in California, but fell to his death on Saturady when he was ice climbing on a frozen waterfall
when Michael was studying HERE, he was a volunteer for the mountain rescue team in the Lake District.
The team leader says he was a great friend, with energy, boundless enthusiasm, and will be sadly missed
