Detectives are investigating a series of arson attacks at a car parts warehouse in Horwich.
Three fires have taken place between Wednesday 8 February 2012 and Sunday 19 February 2012 at ALS Auto Parts on Chorley Old Road, and there was a similar incident there on Tuesday 9 August 2011.
On each occasion offenders would target the business late at night and set fire to either an object or part of the building.
Detective Constable Adam Gleave said: "The business has no idea why it is being targeted in this way. When these offenders carry out these arson attacks they are affecting people's livelihoods.
"We believe all four attacks are linked. The offenders need to know that detectives carried out a number of inquiries and these are ongoing until whoever is responsible is caught.
"I would like to appeal to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity before or after any of these incidents to call us, and I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the red car on Chorley Old Road on Monday 13 February."
Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 0161 856 5756 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
