4 year old Chloe Burke was found with multiple stab wounds

A nurse has  admitted stabbing her four year old daughter to death at their home in Bury.

Chloe Burke's body was found in her bed in February last year.

Her mum Dawn Makin, after killing Chloe, slashed her own wrists, drank cleaning  fluid, and climbed in bed next to Chloe, and waited to die.

Dawn survived though, and for the past year and half, has had a lot of hospital treatment, and also, undergone psychological tests, which show she was suffering an 'abnormality of mind' when she killed Chloe

Earlier Ms Makin, who's 34, appeared at Preston Crown Court  in a wheelchair.

She denied  murder, but admitted manslaughter, on the grounds of diminished responsibilty.

The Crown has accepted that plea.

She's now been released on bail to a hospital, where she'll be under 24 hour care until she's sentenced on 30th August.
