A man who was found unconscious in Wigan has died.
Francis Farrell, aged 56, was found with a head injury at around 4.15am on Sunday 17 June 2012, on Frog Lane, Wigan.
Police inquiries have been ongoing to establish how the man came to suffer these injuries.
He was last seen leaving Wiend Bar in Wigan town centre at about 3.50am. He was then seen on CCTV walking down Frog Lane at 3.58am and a passerby called North West Ambulance Service at approximately 4.15am.
Francis suffered a serious head injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he died late last night, Wednesday 20 June 2012, from his injuries.
Francis was wearing a light blue checked shirt with light blue jeans, black shoes, a black fleece and black hat. He is white and around 6ft tall, of medium build with short grey hair.
