Wanted over sexual assault in Farnworth

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a sexual assault by touching on a teenage girl.

At about 7.20pm on 17 January 2012, a 15-year-old girl was in Premier Stores on Highfield Road, Farnworth.

While in the store and unknown man walked past her and sexually assaulted her.

He is described as being white but with a dark skin tone, 5ft 5in tall, in his 30s, with dark hair and a beard.

The man then left in a silver car.

Detective Constable Gary Knox, of Bolton CID, said: "The young girl was in a local shop with her mother when this incident happened and has been left upset as a result.

"If anyone recognises the man in the CCTV image please get in touch.”
