Woman suffers minor injuries
A woman who was helping her husband from their car to his wheelchair was pushed to the ground by thieves.
At about 6pm on Monday 14 May 2012, the couple were at their home on Porthleven Crescent, Astley, getting out of their silver BMW, when three men approached and demanded the keys.
The woman, aged 37, was pushed to the ground and suffered minor injuries.
Her husband, a 42-year-old man, was not injured.
The offenders then drove off in the car, which was found abandoned on Piggott Street, Farnworth, Bolton, a short time later.
One offender was white, 5ft 10in tall, in his late teens or early 20s, of slim build and was wearing a grey and black hooded top.
Two others were white and also in their late teens or early 20s. One was about 6ft tall, of medium build.
Police Constable Chris Waddicar, of the Volume Crime Team, said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who saw this incident or the car being abandoned.
"I would also urge anyone who thinks they know who is responsible or has overheard someone talking about this to get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7255, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
