Nine charged
Nine people have been charged with drugs offences following raids in Leigh.
Liam Mountford (born 22/08/1986) of Glebe Street, Leigh has been charged with supplying Class A drugs and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Nigel McDonough (born 20/02/1988) of Stringer Street, Leigh has been charged with supplying Class A drugs and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Stephen Owen (born 26/10/1975) of Findlay Street, Leigh has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
David Conlin (born 17/12/1988) of Siddow Common, Leigh has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Carl Orrell (born 21/03/1967) of Bond Street, Leigh has been charged with supplying Class A drugs and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Daniel O’Brien (born 06/05/1982) of Cecil Street, Leigh has been charged with supplying Class A drugs and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Joseph O’Rourke (born 17/11/1979) of Siddow Common, Leigh has been charged with supplying Class A drugs.
April Walker (born 10/04/1968) of Heddles Court, Leigh has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Lee Jones (born 06/09/1967) of Keble Grove, Leigh has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
All appeared at Wigan Magistrates Court on 29 March 2012 and were remanded in custody to appear at court on 3 July 2012.
On Wednesday 28 March 2012, police carried out 13 search warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act at homes in the Leigh area.
Eleven men and two women were arrested for a variety of offences including possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
Two men remain on police bail pending further inquiries. No further action will be taken against a man and a woman who were also arrested.
