Boys arrested after police seize suspected drugs in Bury

Two 15-year-old boys have been arrested after up to 30 wraps of suspected drugs were seized by police.

At about 10.15am on Tuesday 7 August 2012, police were called to the McDonald's restaurant at the Rock in Bury.

Officers were alerted by local authority-run CCTV operators based in Mill Gate who saw the two 15-year-old boys acting suspiciously and subsequently called the police to investigate.

When officers from the Bury East Neighbourhood team attended, they carried out a drugs search and found about 30 wraps of suspected drugs They've been sent off for forensic recovery, but it is believed they are some form of Class A drugs, possibly heroin.

The two teenagers have been bailed pending further inquiries.

A large amount of cash and three mobile phones were also seized.
